Winter Olympians of the Future

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Year 3 Robins Year: 2013 - 2014

When planning the Winter Heroes topic, the children suggested that our school trip could be to go skiing or ice skating. Therefore, on Friday 7th February, all the Year 3 and 4 children took to the ice, marking the start of the Winter Olympics.  After some tuition from the instructors, the children were soon helping each other and practicing their moves.  The tumbles and slips didn't phase any of the children; they were continuously picking themselves up and trying again.  Thank you to all the parents who came along to help. We are hopeful after today we have found the new Torvill and Dean!!
