Athletics Indoor Tournament

Some of our Year 5 and 6 pupils made the athletics team and participated in the Chester SSP (Chester Schools Sports Partnership) Indoor Athletics tournament. They engaged in several sprint races and field events which included javelin, chest push, long jump, vertical jump and speed bounce. 

There were many stand out performances. Our hurdles quartet - Seb, Harley, George and Ellis raced to a convincing win. The girls paarlauf race was a dramatic one. Polly and Sienna were fantastic. It was a sprint to line and Polly ensured we finished first. The boys were consistent, with 4 second place finishes. 

In the field events, there were more strong performances. Ellis leapt to victory in the vertical jump and Jessica's feet were a blur when she won the speed bounce. 

It was a second place finish overall and our athletes can be very proud of how well they performed. Runners Up
