Abbey Gate Quiz

On Friday, we took two teams of Year 5 pupils to the quiz that was held at Abbey Gate.

They had spent the week cramming as much as they good all the facts, ready to be tested mastermind style.

The staff said they could not have been prouder of them all. Their behaviour was outstanding, as was their focus and concentration. Our two teams made University Challenge look like a tea party!

Farndon 1 consisted of Lilly, Thomas J, Freddie, Grace, Brandon, Jessica and George. They were right up there, but to make it to the semi-finals they finished on a tie with another team and it went to a dreaded tie breaker question. How far is it from London to Paris. Lilly thought 200km, but we wrote down 20.

Farndon 2 was made up of Blake, Teddy, Stanley, Niall, Jonah, Thomas E and Henry. Stanley was on fire with his knowledge, as was Teddy and they finished in second place. They each got a lovely silver medal.

We could not be more proud of our wonderful Year 5 pupils today. Well done everyone.
