Recycling in Reception

Class: Ladybirds Year: 2015 - 2016

This half term the children in Reception are learning about the importance of recycling and how they can help look after the environment. As part of their learning the chidlren took on the role of recycling officers and sorted the 'rubbish' into the correct recycling containers. They discussed the materials that the rubbish was made from and how to stay safe. As homework the children helped with recycling at home and worked on a design for a 'litter bug' - a model created from household rubbish! A great way to reuse some of our waste!
