Welcome to Hedgehogs class page

Our topic for the Summer term is AHOY THERE!. Our Literacy work will focus on Pirates. In Geography, we will learn about our coastline, including the physical and human geography. For History. we will look at how coastlines became a tourist attraction for Victorian people due to the development of the railways.

Reading:

Children will have daily reading sessions either phonic or comprehension focused. A reading book will be brought home regularly for you to support your child at home with their fluency and developing as a reader. Any reading done at home can be recorded in the reading records.

Homework:

Your child’s homework will be set on Google Classroom and will be available on a Friday. Children will be set English or Maths homework on alternative weeks. Where possible, the homework set will link to the area of learning we have covered in class that week. Once completed a picture can be uploaded to Google Classroom for marking. If your child has any problems with the homework set, please let us know and we can go through it with them at school. Also if a paper copy is needed please ask.

PE:

The children will have PE on a Wednesday afternoon. Please can you ensure your child comes into school wearing their PE kit on this day. They will then stay in their PE kit for the whole day.
