Mental Health

At Farndon Primary School, we approach the welfare of our pupils in a positive way; all our staff reinforce the values and ethos of the school.  We want our children to stay happy, feel secure and enjoy being in school in whatever activity they are taking part.


All our children should feel able to talk freely and openly to any member of staff if they have any worries or problems of any kind on a work or personal level.  Staff always respond to children in an appropriate manner, offering advice, support, guidance and reassurance in conjunction with our other policies, including our Safeguarding Policy.


It’s understandable for children and adults to feel concerned or anxious about this virus and it is natural for parents to want to support and protect their children.  You might do this in many different ways – giving them a hug, playing a game or having a chat.  The most important thing is for your child to know that you are there for them, ready to help them if things get hard.  The attachment below is a set of tips produced by Young Minds which will hopefully support you and your child at this time.
