Letters from the Palace!

Class: Year 5 Owls Year: 2014 - 2015

As part of the children's topic 'Endangered', some of Year 5 and 6 wrote letters to HRH The Prince of Wales to highlight the need for action in the world's rainforests. The children felt that it would be somewhat hypocritical to raise this issue and then write on lots of paper and so they decided to use whitewashed newspaper instead. The letters all looked fantastic and were posted off to the palace.

10 days later, an enormous package arrived in the office postmarked 'Buckingham Palace'. Needless to say the children and Mrs Wakefield squealed with excitement when they saw it! It was duly torn open and inside were individual sealed envelopes for each of the children - something we did not expect! Each child received their own letter and a photo of the Prince.
