Infant Sports Day

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Ladybirds Year: 2014 - 2015

We finally managed to get to put on the Infant Sports Day after two rain delays. We went to the other extreme on Tuesday with warm temperatures, but we were grateful for donations of gazeboes so that all the children were in the shade.

Every child in each year got to compete in all the events and there were some tight finishes, wonderful performances and fantastic team spirit. Throughout the day, the children were earning points for their House; 3 points for a win, 2 points for second and 1 point for third.

All the children also were able to take part in the field events and some showed great techniques throwing the javeline. At the end of the day, all of the points were counted and the final result could not have been closer!

Beech nicked it with 126 points, winning by just 2 points! Well done to the all the children as their confidence and attitude were fantastic.
