Indoor Athletics

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Year 3 Robins Year: 2019-2020

Our Year 3 and 4 team competed in the Broxton indoor athletics competition on Thursday after school with Mr Bond and Mr Firkins at the helm.

It was a team event they took part in several running events and some field events which included vertical high jump, speed bounce, long jump, chest push and javelin.

Zach did really well to win the vertical jump. Oliver also won in the javelin. We had a draw in the chest push. Both Farndon boys - Thomas and Harvey.

The team had to pull together as we had a few injuries. A special mention to Jasmine who showed great determination when she had to keep running to cover and injured partner and stepping in to do another event at short notice - and performed brilliantly.

But it was about the team and they won the trophy by a huge margin - 30 points. It was a great team effort and what pleased Mr Bond the most was not the fact that we won, but how the team supported and helped one another. Well done everyone.
