Basketball Tournament

Some of the Year 5 and 6 children represented the school in a basketball tournament which took place on the court where the Cheshire Phoenix play. The children were so excited to play on a professional basketball court and played so well. In the first match, we lost to Acorns, having gone 2 points ahead. With better shooting, we may well have won. In the second match, we played Waverton and dominated possession. However, we just couldn't get the ball into the basket! It resulted in a tense shoot out. James held his nerve and we won! Sadly, we did not make the final as all the teams won 1 and lost 1 and so it went to points difference - where we failed to make the final by one score!! But well done to the Basketball team. They performed brilliantly.
