Year 3 and 4 Handball

On Thursday, it was the turn of the Year 3 and 4 pupils who faced up to other local schools in the handball tournament. Premier Sports coaches had been preparing the children in their PE lessons and the team were hoping to emulate the success of the Upper Juniors.

In the first game, Henry scored twice to earn a 2 -2 draw against Malpas. In the next game, we beat Tilston 2 - 0 with Daniel scoring both goals. Next, we played Shocklach and Daniel scored all the goals in an impressive 6 - 0 victory. It all came down to the last game and a win against Clutton would see us crowned champions. It was a tense game and the children gave it their all. The game ended in a draw - another goal from Daniel.

Runners up this time, but the Year 4 pupils were proud to say they were undefeated! Freddie played fantastically well in goal, saving several penalties. Hasan was committed and Erin played well. However, Mr Bond said that Mon of the Match had to go to Daniel who scored 9 goals!

Well done everyone and a big thnak you to Mr Bond for coaching the children.
