Key Stage 1 Maths Evening

On Thursday night after school, we welcomed First 4 Maths consultants into school to deliver a talk on the new national curriculum in the Infants and the strategies for certain calculations.

Parents got to engage in various problems and tasks with an apply focus. They also got to use some of the practical equipment that the children have access to in class such as bead strings, numicon and diennes.

Spare handouts are available from the school office. Also, parents can access the images, strategies and vocabulary in the school's calculation policy. This can be accessed from the curriculum tab and select maths. In March, there will be another evening where Junior maths will be the focus.
