Infants trip for their Fire Fire topic

Year 1 and 2 had a fabulous visit to Wrexham on Wednesday! The children were brilliantly behaved and were a true credit to yourselves and Farndon School .

They had great fun at the Fire Station where they got to meet Blue Watch, try out the kit and fire hoses and even had a trip in the Aerial Ladder Platform!

Blue Watch also gave us information regarding free home safety checks available through North Wales Fire and Rescue. Those families living in Wales should call free phone 0800 169 1234 to arrange a visit to your home and those families living in Cheshire should visit the Cheshire Fire and Rescue website  http://www.cheshirefire.gov.uk to arrange a visit.

The children also met up at Un-Deg-Un art studios with artist Jo Marsh who ran a London themed workshop where the children worked on a huge mural. The art studio is located in the old JJB Sports site in Wrexham (next door to Waterstones) and will be open to the public on Saturday 1st February for a family friendly craft and music workshop, as well as the chance to see the work the children completed! The event starts at 12pm and all are welcome!
