Garden at Marsden House

You may recall we recently held a non uniform day to raise funds for a project within the community.

One of our past pupils, Isobel Barnes, along with her mum, who is a Teaching Assistant within our school, noticed there was an outside space that was very much in need of some improvements.

At Marsden House, an NHS clinic in Chester, the outside garden looked very delapidated and overgrown and looked somewhat depressing. They both felt that they wanted to do something about it.

From our fund raiser in school, we raised an impressive £177! We must also thank the Grovsenor Garden Centre for kindly agreeing to match the money we raised, allowing Mrs Barnes to buy 6 bags of compost and a vast range of plants.

I am sure you would agree, Mrs Barnes and Isobel can be very proud of all their hard work. Not only did they raise the money, they also worked hard together to clear the garden space and then created this new garden space for all the visitors to the clinic to enjoy. The new garden looks fantastic!
