Festival of Football with Tarvin

On a wet and muddy Monday, Farndon hosted a festival of football with Tarvin Primary.

The first match was the Yr 3 and 4 teams. You could not take your eyes off the match and Daniel put Farndon 1 - 0 ahead. The second half was tight and Farndon spurned a few chances. Tarvin took advantage and smashed in an equalizer from close range. 1- 1 draw was a fair result with both teams equally matched. Man of the match: Cameron Edwards

The Year 2 children took to the field. Tarvin raced into the lead in seconds. However, Farndon pulled it back and went in at half time 2 -1 up. In the second half, Harry scored a great goal on the edge of the box making it a 3 - 1 win. Man of the Match: Harry John

Finally, it was the turn of the Year 5 and 6. This was a new team and Mr Erraji put them through their paces to prepare them for the game. It certainly worked and in the first half Farndon were a class act with slick touch and go. James led the line well with his trickery and we went in at half time 1 - 0 up. Tarvin came roaring back early in the second half, but Glenn on debut scored a peach! However, Tarvin weren't finished and scored two quick goals. The game finished with a 3 - 2 Tarvin win. A fantastic game of football and both teams showed lots of promise for the up coming fixtures in the league. Man of the Match: James Barker

A big thank you to all the parents for their support especially in the wet horrible weather.
