Farndon Election

Friday was the day for Farndon's general election.

It was a hard fourght campaign, with the school plastered with party banners and party leaders canvasing during their break times.

Each party leader, along with other party members, set their manifesto and shared these with all the children in an assembly. There were 4 parties in the election: Progress, Transform, Tomorrow and Vision.

The Year 3 classroom was used as a polling station and all children were invited to vote during their break times. At 2:00, the Returning Officer, Mrs McCarthy, called the school together outside on the stage area to announce the results.

Each of the parties won a constituency, but the Progress party, led by Freddie, were elected with 4 constituencies. Freddie will now be invited to form a Government using the elected School Council members for the next year in order to push through some of his manifesto ideas.
