Headteacher blog Week Beginning 30th March

Date: 3rd Apr 2015 @ 5:05pm

This week seemed like a race against time to cram everything in before the end of term.

In nearly all classes, most children were working hard to finish their topic books. Several children were very proud to share their work with me.

Even though it was the last week and we only had 4 days, we still found time to invite in someone to lead a workshop on Fairness and Fairtrade around the world using huge floor maps that filled the hall floor. It was a popular workshop with the children.

With it being Easter, we had to have an Easter Bonnet parade. Everyone had made such an effort and the children looked wonderful. All the Infants enjoyed getting together and showing off their hats whilst singing easter songs. I pulled the short straw and had to judge the winners from each class. It was a perfect way to end the Spring Term.

It has been such a busy term and everyone deserves a well earned rest. However, two weeks is a long time and I hope the children manage to keep up with learning their tables and reading books so they hit the ground running in the Summer.
