Foxes Christmas cards to Birch Heath Lodge Care home

Lesson: PSHE and citizenship

Class: Year 1 Foxes Year: 2019-2020

Foxes class really enjoyed designing and making Christmas cards to send to the residents at Birch Heath Care Home. The children used skills from their Design and Technology lessons to create their moving cards. 

Ollie from Foxes class, hand delivered the cards and these were gratefully recieved. 

The children had a great surprise when they returned to school after Christmas. All of the residents and staff had been so delighted with the cards they decided to create a huge 'Happy New Year' banner to say thank you!

The banner, along with a letter, were shared during a whole school assembly and now they are displayed in Foxes classroom. The children hope to keep in contact with Birch Heath and look forward to future projects.
