Deanery Athletics

Lesson: Physical education

Class: Year 6 Kestrels Year: 2017 - 2018

Tonight will go down in the history of Farndon. An overall win in the Deanery Athletics competition for the first time in 22 years! This tournament begun way back in the 1920s and has a long standing tradition. It was such a special night and we will take away so many wonderful memories.

There were heroes in every event that we competed in. Bickerton were fantastic throughout and won the overall sprint trophy, the relay trophy and the sack trophy. Farndon came away with the team long distance trophy. We feared that was all we would would be winning - particularly with Bickerton winning 3 team events. However, we were consistent throughout with 9 first places, 11 second places and 11 third places.

Well done to the whole team - you all played your part and were absolutely fantastic!
