Sports Ambassadors

We are lucky to have 2 fully trained Sports Ambassadors within our school. They are Harry John and Arabella Andrews. 

Farndon Primary School Sporting Ambassadors require a lot of different qualities. Below are a list of qualities and some job descriptions required when taking up the role of a Sports Ambassador:

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Must be approachable and have a good relationship with all children

  • A positive role model and a good attitude towards learning and playing sports

  • Be a good team member

  • Able to engage and inspire others

  • Must be organised and be a good timekeeper

Our Sporting ambassadors have been carefully chosen and show all of the qualities above. Their job role is very important throughout the school and below you will see a list of jobs our Sporting Ambassadors will undertake throughout the school year.


  • Will referee Football matches at dinner times for year ½
  • Help promote the Golden Mile and give out certificates
  • Support the KS1 pupils in the playing of playground games.
  • Support subject lead in promoting sport in school through display
  • Promote the use of the outside gym equipment
  • Help run and organise the Intra house competitions
  • Always be an example to the learning charter especially in PE Lessons (Lead by Example)
  • Be ready for other Sporting needs throughout the year
