Latest OFSTED report

Farndon last had an OFSTED Inspection in March 2016 . The findings in the Inspection were very positive and the judgement made was that we continue to be a good school.

We are particularly pleased that the report recognises:

  • The strong ambition that the school leaders have for the pupils and staff and the commitment and passion we have for improving the quality of education for all pupils.
  • That school improvement has been driven forward at a pace and teachers now feel empowered to achieve well in their careers.
  • The school has created a strong family orientated, nurturing and caring ethos.
  • Pupils are delightful, polite and very well behaved, and are very proud of their school.
  • The progress pupils make in their writing by the time they leave the school in now outstanding.
  • Safeguarding is effective and all staff place a high priority on ensuring that pupils are safe in the school.
  • There is clear determination at all levels to ensure each child achieve his or her full potential.
