Rugby Winners - again!

The pressure was on the lower junior rugby team, having seen the older pupils come away with a trophy as well as being defending champions form the previous year. But Mr Bond had prepared them well and they were as determined as ever!

They were up against Tattenhall A in the first group match. It was a great start with a 4 - 0 win. With confidence now high they played Bickerton next. It was a great match and tight all the way to the final whistle. Farndon just nicked it 2 - 1. They then played Tushingham and made it 3 wins out of 3 with a 4 - 1 victory. Our final group game was Malpas and we romped to a 7 - 2 win. The semi-finals beckoned....

Tattenhall B were the opposition and the team looked unbeatable - a 7 - 0 win. And so to the final where it was a rematch from the Year 5 and 6 tournament - Clutton. After such a close game with the upper juniors, Clutton were certainly hoping to even the score and this time win.

But our Farndon team were now brimming with confidence and they saved their best till last. They won the match 8 - 1. Another trophy for the cabinet and 3 tournament wins out of 3.

A fantastic achievement by the Year 4 pupils and Mr Bond. A clean sweep in the rugby and next up is the hockey.
