Cross Country

We have had to wait a year, but finally the time came for us to try to regain our Cross Country crown.

Our Year 6 team started well. Dougie ran a great race, finishing 5th and James squeezed into the top 10 with a strong finish in ninth. Lexi did well to come home sixth. A special mention to Scarlett; she was tearful on the first lap, but never gave in and pushed on until the end and actually finished seventh.

The Year 5 team were strong! Josh finished first by a country mile! Ben came home with bronze in third. The girls were great too. Mimi was second and Ellie romped home in fourth.

The Year 4 team gave it their all. The girls showed how it was done! Harriet is a machine! She came first and Freya ran well to come third. The boys performed admirably and Rhys came seventh and Dylan came home in ninth.

The Year 3 pupils did us proud! Oliver was pipped to the post in second and Zach was fourth. The girls were just as strong with Abigail coming fifth and Lucia ran such a strong race and finished fourth. Well done Year 3!

Our Year 2 pupils did well with Xavier, new to the team, came ninth and Havery finished eleventh. Lara was impressive in eighth and Allegra was close behind in ninth.

Our Year 1 pupils made their debut in representing the school. Alfie was incredible and romped home in first! Daniel was doing well until distracted by a tree, but the girls were equally impressive with Mollie finishing second and Farrah got bronze with a third place.

With so many top performances, the trophy now returns back home to Farndon. Well done to the whole team and of course a big thank you to the coaches - Mr Bond and Mr Firkins.
