Headteacher's blog Week Beginning 1st December

Date: 8th Dec 2014 @ 1:40pm

What a week! Christmas is very much here now.

The Early Years departmnet put on a lovely show to all the Parents and I thoroughly enjoyed each performance. It was nice to see the children having an input into ideas for their show. I must say it was the first Christmas show with a bat as the lead character - very original. I am always so amazed how confident the children are performing on the stage when they are only 3 and 4 years old. The singing was particularly good. A big thank you to the parents for helping their children learn their lines and for the wonderful costumes.

Next, it is the turn of the Infant children who will be performing in the church ( I still can't feel my arms having put the stage up and down at the front of the church ). They have been working hard, perfecting their show and I have seen first hand some of the singing. Some of the solo performances will steal the show I think. I can't wait to see the final show on Wednesday afternoon and Thursday evening.

And of course the week ended with the Christmas Fair. It was so well supported by the parents and children in the school. The PTA decided to put on a Fair that was more for the children and I must say I thought the Year 6 pupils did a great job in their "games" room. It was nice to see Santa take the time to make an appearance at our school and I know the children were so excited to see him. A big thank you to all the PTA members who worked so hard producing those wonderful hampers ( apologies as most of the staff won them!! Not a fix I promise ) and for their hard work bringing it altogether on the night.

Only 17 sleeps to Christmas!!
